We are focusing on consumer finance and saving products, aiming to build up a cost-effective and flexible business model with technology-driven and fully automated application processes. To strengthen the team, Fjord Bank is now searching for a Data Warehouse Lead in Vilnius.

JobOfferPage.Description

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Data Warehouse Lead to take ownership of data warehouse infrastructure. Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines, utilizing databases, ETL tools, and cloud computing. The role is reporting to our Chief Technology Officer.

  • Design, develop, and maintain the data warehouse architecture, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
  • Lead the implementation of ETL processes and data pipelines using tools like AWS Glue or similar frameworks.
  • Utilize databases such as MSSQL, PostgreSQL, or similar to store and manage structured and unstructured data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure data integration from various sources through REST APIs or other methods.
  • Apply data lake formation concepts and cloud computing (AWS or similar) to build robust and scalable data warehousing solutions.
  • Develop and implement data quality standards and processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data within the warehouse.
  • Create data visualizations using appropriate tools to provide insights and facilitate data-driven decision-making.

JobOfferPage.Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years in data warehousing and ETL development.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with databases such as MSSQL, PostgreSQL, or similar.
  • Proficiency in PySpark for data manipulation and transformation tasks.
  • Experience with ETL tools like AWS Glue or similar frameworks.
  • Familiarity with data integration methods, including REST API usage.
  • Intermediate programming knowledge, preferably using AWS Lambda or similar serverless computing technologies.
  • Cloud computing experience, specifically with AWS or similar platforms.
  • Understanding of data lake formation concepts and familiarity with tools like AWS Lake Formation.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools to create meaningful visual representations of data.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, AWS Glue, Amazon Athena, Amazon Redshift, and AWS Step Functions is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Being proactive, result oriented and having a hands-on approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in Lithuanian and English both verbally and in writing.
