What to do if you receive scam message?

  • If you received a suspicious message - do not reply, do not click on any links, and do not share your personal information.
  • Verify the information: if you received a suspicious message, verify it by contacting the company directly using the official contact details (info@cvo.lt).
  • Inform others: if you have noticed any fraud cases, share this information with the company/organization involved in the fraud case; share it within your team as well, warning others about suspicious content.

Reminder of how to identify fraudulent messages:

  • Urgent action: the message often creates a sense of urgency, requiring immediate action, such as contacting by phone or providing other personal data.
  • Grammatical errors: fraudulent messages often contain spelling and grammatical errors, sentences are illogical and disorganized.
  • Request for personal data: often requests for personal information, other data that the company would not normally request.
  • Unrecognized senders, unusual email addresses: if you receive a message from an unknown sender, especially if it is an official institution or company, be very careful. Fraudsters may use similar but not identical company email addresses or websites.
